Week four saw the start of district play in Eight-Man Division I. The Central Plains Oilers traveled to face the Little River Redskins.
Central Plains came into the game with a six-year streak of not losing a district game. Little River looked to play spoiler as both teams took to the field with undefeated records.
The Oilers struck first with a touchdown after only four minutes played. They would continue to add points until the game was called near the end of the third quarter.
Video highlights and a more detailed recap of the game is available at CatchItKansas.com

The company I work for, Office Products, Inc., helped to sponsor the free concert at this year’s Ellinwood After Harvest Festival. The performer for the concert was Country singer-songwriter Logan Mize. Of course, I brought my camera along and here are some of the pictures I took at the show:
A week after losing to Thunder Ridge, the Cougars put the pads back on to face the Blue Jays of St. Johns-Tipton. To be honest, this wasn’t a game, or even a track meet. Otis-Bison was down three starters and still dominated the game. I stayed until the score was 46-0, and that was with…
The season is about to start, but a team needs one more event to polish up. This time, they will don their uniforms and treat it as if another team stood on the other side of the net. Below are some of the pictures I took at the game: Click here to purchase prints or…
For the sixth year in a row, the Meade Buffaloes and the LaCrosse Leopards met in the playoffs. Many of those game would decide who would play for the State Championship that year. This year, the meeting came in the very first round of the playoffs. Both teams squared off and traded drives early on….
The third week of the football season saw an undefeated Stafford Trojans travel to face the Otis-Bison Cougars. The Cougars entered the game with a 500 record of 1 and 1. Homecoming festivities kicked the night off. After the crowning, both teams took to the field for the game. The game started slowly, but Otis-Bison…
A house in Great Bend, on Broadway Street, has several, I mean too many to count, Halloween inflatable yard decorations. I took my camera and new tripod and ballhead combo to shoot a panoramic shoot of the display. Below is the result of stitching together 15 shots.
