Hays vs Great Bend 10-12-12

On a cool, misty/rainy October night, two long time rivals met on a Football field. The Hays Indians came into Memorial Stadium to face the Great Bend Panthers.

Not only was this a District game, but it also would decide who won the Western Athletic Conference Championship.

The First Half was a back and forth tussle helped along by Hays’ inability to convert points after touchdowns. In the Second Half, the Hays Indian running game behind #25 David Cardinal took over the game. Hays won the game, and the WAC, with a score of 31 to 13.

Great Bend travels to play Salina Central next week. Hays will take on Salina South.
