Football Jamboree at Central Plains 8-26-22

I took my camera out to Cheyenne Bottoms Labor Day afternoon.  I dealt with a stiff north wind that day.  I like that the wind caused some pelicans to fly over and allow me the closest picture of them I’ve gotten so far Here’s the pics I took: [flickr-gallery mode=”photoset” photoset=”72157624834559437″]

Two Whooping Cranes stopped over at Quivira National Wildlife Refuge on their way to Texas last week. I took the opportunity Saturday afternoon to take my camera down and try to shoot some pictures of them.  Thanks to the help of a birdwatcher with a big sighting scope, I was directed to where they stood….
