I headed out to Cheyenne Bottoms early Saturday morning hoping to see some Whooping Cranes. Unfortunately, the Cranes weren’t there. I did get to see many other birds that morning. Here are some of the pictures I took:
The Kansas Cattle Drive 2011 made a stop in Ellinwood, Kansas on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The cowboys brought almost 400 head of longhorn cattle down the brick lined main street of this Barton County town. Below are some pictures and a video I shot of the cattle:

The Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo hosted An Evening with Jack Hanna to help raise money for the facility. Jack Hanna is an Internationally recognized Zoo Keeper and Director Emeritus of the Cincinnati Zoo.
