For only the second time in school history, Otis-Bison played for the State Championship in football. They faced a strong Baileyville B&B team. The Otis-Bison Cougars appeared in the Sub-State game for the first time since the early 1990’s Friday night. Their opponent was an undefeated Ashland Blue Jays. It was a hard fought defensive battle all night long. In the end, the Cougars prevailed with a score of 26-14. The Cougars will play Saturday at 11 AM…
The Regional game marks the Second Round of the 2010 8-Man Division II playoffs. For this game, Otis-Bison traveled to Bird City, an over three hour drive. Cheylin came into the game with an undefeated record of dominating games. Otis-Bison ended that streak with a 51-6 victory. The win returns the Cougars to the Sub-State…
The 8-Man Division II playoffs have begun with the Fowler Goldbugs traveling to Otis for a first round game. Otis-Bison delivered a commanding performance with a 46-0 victory. Two Whooping Cranes stopped over at Quivira National Wildlife Refuge on their way to Texas last week. The last regular season game for the Otis-Bison Cougars brought the Pawnee Heights Tigers to town. As has been the theme for the year, the Cougars took control early and never let up. I took my camera out to Cheyenne Bottoms Sunday afternoon. I didn’t spend a long time out there, but you could already see the start of the migrating birds arriving.
