Deer on Otis Road
A few weeks back I was driving to Otis in the waning evening light. I stopped on Otis Road south of Otis, Kansas and saw a deer walking towards me. Here is a picture of that Buck Mule Deer:

Sub-State: Otis-Bison vs Ashland
The Otis-Bison Cougars appeared in the Sub-State game for the first time since the early 1990’s Friday night. Their opponent was an undefeated Ashland Blue Jays. Regionals: Otis-Bison at Cheylin
The Regional game marks the Second Round of the 2010 8-Man Division II playoffs. For this game, Otis-Bison traveled to Bird City, an over three hour drive. The 8-Man Division II playoffs have begun with the Fowler Goldbugs traveling to Otis for a first round game. Otis-Bison delivered a commanding performance with a 46-0 victory. Whooping Cranes at Quivira NWR

Cheyenne Bottoms October 17
I took my camera out to Cheyenne Bottoms Sunday afternoon. I didn’t spend a long time out there, but you could already see the start of the migrating birds arriving.
