Dodge City versus Great Bend Football 10-4-13

For the first time this season, Football weather made its appearance thanks to a strong, cold northwest wind. Not everyone was ready for the cold, this photographer included, but we were ready for a classic Western Athletic Conference showdown between the Dodge City Red Demons and the Great Bend Panthers.

Great Bend held their Fall Homecoming festivities before the game. Then both teams strapped up the helmets and went to work. Dodge City brought a balanced attack to the field, but Great Bend kept it close going into Halftime being down 32 to 13.

After Halftime, Dodge City produced three straight scores from favorable field position due Great Bend turnovers or trouble punting. The held on to win the game 47 to 13.
