I covered a couple of games during the first day of the 2023 KSHSAA State Basketball tournament at the historic Hutchinson Sports Arena. The Class 3A girls teams took to the floor looking to advance to the semifinals.
The Cheney Lady Cardinals defeated the Eureka Lady Tornadoes and the Goodland Cowgirls held off a challenge from the Frontenac Lady Raiders to continue their march for a second straight state championship.
