Night Three of the 2018 Hoisington Winter Jam saw Consolation Bracket matchups. The Ellinwood Lady Eagles faced off against the hosts, the Hoisington Lady Cardinals.
The Lady Cardinals took control of the game early used free throws to extend their lead. When the final whistle blew, Hoisington won by a score of 46 to 19.

2A Sub-State Championship Ellinwood Girls vs Central Plains 3-7-15
The Central Plains 2A Sub-State Girls Championship saw a rematch of a game from a week ago. In that game, Ellinwood handed Central Plains their first loss of the season. The met back up with a chance to go to State on the line.
The Ellinwood Lady Eagles jumped out to a five to nothing lead, but the Lady Oilers quickly matched that and took the lead. From there, the game stayed in Central Plains’ control with a final score of 72 to 54.
The Central Plains Lady Oilers will play in the Class 2A State Tournament in Manhattan next week.

Central Prairie League Volleyball Tournament 10-18-14
As the Volleyball season winds down, the members of the Central Prairie League gathered in Hoisington for their annual tournament.
All nine teams were split into three pools in the morning. Then in the afternoon, each team went into another pool to play a triangular to decide their placing.
The Central Plains Lady Oilers won the tournament this year with LaCrosse coming in second and Ellinwood third.

As part of a Central Kansas League Triangular, the Kingman Lady Eagles faced off with the Larned Lady Indians.
The match ended up being the second match of the night for Kingman that went to three sets. The Lady Eagles won the match with scores of 25-21, 24-26, and 25-15.

2014 Hoisington Winter Jam Girls Championship Game – Ellinwood vs Minneapolis 1-25-14
The final Girls game for the 2014 Hoisington Cardinal Winter Jam saw the Ellinwood Lady Eagles take on the Minneapolis Lady Lions.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to an early lead and kept it going into Halftime. In the Second Half, the Lady Lions tried to come back and take the lead, but they never could seem to get over the hump.
The Ellinwood Lady Eagles won the game and the 2014 Hoisington Cardinal Winter Jam Girls Championship with a score of 57 to 48.

2013 Keady Basketball Classic – Ellinwood Girls vs St. John 12-9-13
The Ellinwood Lady Eagles and St. John Lady Tigers squared off in a First Round matchup at the 2013 Keady Basketball Classic.
I got to the game just in time to see it go to overtime. Ellinwood prevailed with a score of 40 to 38.

Ellinwood vs Central Plains Volleyball 10-11-12
The Central Plains Lady Oilers visited the Ellinwood Lady Eagles for the last home match of the year for the Lady Eagles.
The first game was close with Central Plains taking it 26 to 24. Ellinwood then took over winning the next two games and the match 25 to 10 and 25 to 19.
