The Lamb Family May 2022

I had the joy of making some great portraits of Joe and Leann Lamb’s family in May 2022.  This family of eight had a fun time standing in front of my new gray background.

They were also the first family I got to shoot entirely in black and white.  I think these photographs came out beautifully.

Enjoy some of these great family portraits below:

Hoisington Volleyball Senior Night 9-15-20

The Hoisington Lady Cardinals celebrated Senior Night on September 15th. They recognized the four Seniors on the team, Alyx Lamatsch, Suzana Schneider, Keeley Wolf, and Jaci Guthrie.

After the festivities, the Lady Cardinals won the final match of the night over the Larned Lady Indians in two games.

Below are some of the pictures I took at the match.

Smoky Valley Lady Vikings versus Hoisington Lady Cardinals 2-6-20

The Smoky Valley Lady Vikings traveled to face the Hoisington Lady Cardinals on a Thursday night. This was a makeup game after the original date had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

Hoisington held a 10 point lead going into the fourth quarter. By the final seconds, the lead had shriveled to one point. The Lady Vikings had a chance to score at the very end, but they could not get a shot to fall.

Great Bend Football Jamboree 8-30-19

For the first time ever, Great Bend hosted a football jamboree with Hoisington and Scott Community High Schools.

The jamboree is a preseason gathering of three or four schools to scrimmage against each other.

In the past, most schools would hold a soap scrimmage. In a soap scrimmage, the varsity side would line up against the junior varsity. For a jamboree, two school’s varsity teams would face each other for a set number of plays.

This format gives a coach a chance to see his team against different competition for the first time in a season. The players also get some idea of how they are performing as they head into their first game week.

Plainville Boys Basketball vs Hoisington 2-5-19

The final game of the evening saw the Plainville Cardinals face off with the Hoisington Cardinals.

Hoisington scored the first points of the night. Plainville then took the lead thanks to some accurate three-point shooting. At one point they were 5 of 9 from behind the arc in just the first quarter. Hoisington worked hard to overcome the deficit and led at the end of the first quarter by four points.

The hosts never surrendered the lead. Plainville would try to mount a comeback, but Hoisington weathered those challenges and foul trouble to continue building on their lead.

At the final whistle, Hoisington won by a score of 70 to 53.

Plainville Girls Basketball vs Hoisington 2-5-19

The Plainville Lady Cardinals traveled to Hoisington to face the Lady Cardinals in a Tuesday evening matchup.

Plainville lead for most of the game. Hoisington would narrow the lead at times to approximately four. The hosts just never found the run to take the lead. By the final few minutes, Plainville began to extend their lead.

The game finished with the visitors on top 49 to 35.
