2017 321A State Wrestling Tournament 2-25-17

The culmination of the season brings hundreds of wrestlers to Hays, Kansas and Gross Memorial Coliseum for the KSHSAA Class 321A State Wrestling Tournament.

This year the Hoisington Cardinals brought eight wrestlers and hopes of finally winning the State Title. By the end of the first day, seven wrestlers remained in the competition and two advanced to the championship finals.

The second day saw six wrestlers medal. Tanner Cassity at 132 pounds got sixth place. Sean Urban at 160 pounds and Justin Bradley at 220 pounds took fifth. Landen Urban took third in 285 pounds.

Jonathan Ball won his first State Title at 145 pounds and his brother Christopher took his second Title in 152 pounds.

As a team, Hoisington finished with 113 points. They came in second to Norton who scored 126 points and won their fifth straight team title.
