The Garden City Buffaloes made the familiar trip to Memorial Stadium to face the Great Bend Panthers.
A win would hand the Western Athletic Conference title to the Panthers. A loss would mean just a share of the title along with two other fellow conference schools.
Great Bend quickly let it be known that they wanted the trophy all to themselves. The Panthers scored about three minutes into the game. On the next Garden City snap, Dalton Miller would strip the ball away from the Buffalo and take it in for six more points.
The Great Bend Panthers went on to win the game by a score of 49 to 6.
