Otis-Bison Football vs Central Plains 9-15-17

The third week of the season saw two Central Prairie League powers face off. The Otis-Bison Cougars traveled to Central Plains to battle the Oilers.

The Cougars came into the game with an undefeated two and zero record. Central Plains started the night at one win and one loss on the season.

The first half saw both teams grinding out every yard they could. Both sides tallied a touchdown, but failed to convert a two point play. Central Plains’ speed kept the Otis-Bison back field contained from the large runs they normally would rip off.

With the second half, the larger bench of Central Plains became an overwhelming advantage. They could sub players in and out while Otis-Bison only had a few players that could rotate. That reserve dwindled more as the night went on and injuries mounted for the Cougars.

When the final horn blew, the Central Plains Oilers won the game with a score of 36 to 12. Both teams left the field with a two and one record.
