2012 Hoisington Winter Jam: Otis-Bison vs LaCrosse Boys

For the third time this year the Otis-Bison Cougars and the LaCrosse Leopards met on the hardwood. This time it was for the Fifth Place of the 2012 Hoisington Winter Jam.

Otis-Bison started with a flat first quarter scoring only 6 points while LaCrosse posted more than double that. Otis-Bison could not get close to the Leopards and fell by a score of 56 to 37.

2012 Hoisington Winter Jam: Victoria vs Hoisington Boys

The Victoria Knights took on the hosting Hoisington Cardinals in the semi-finals of the 2012 Hoisington Winter Jam.

The Knights tried to keep up with the Cardinals but fell behind quickly. They did their best to close the gap in the second half, but could not get any closer than the final score of 65 to 51.

Victoria will face Ellsworth for Third Place. Hoisington will matchup against Minneapolis for a second consecutive year for the Championship.

Hoisington Winter Jam 2012: Ellinwood vs LaCrosse Boys

The Ellinwood Eagles and LaCrosse Leopards faced off to see who would play to win the Consolation Bracket of the 2012 Hoisington Winter Jam.

LaCrosse took an early lead but allowed Ellinwood to come back within three to four points at multiple points in the game. At the final buzzer, the Leopards won with a score of 39 to 29.

LaCrosse will take on Otis-Bison for the Fifth Place game (and their third meeting this season), Ellinwood will face off with Russell for the Seventh Place game.

2012 Hoisington Winter Jam: Otis-Bison vs Ellsworth Boys

The Otis-Bison Cougars faced off against the Ellsworth Bearcats in the first round of the 2012 Hoisington Winter Jam.

The Cougars had a sluggish first half that led to a 10 point deficit they could not overcome. The final score was 52 to 29 in favor of the Bearcats.

Ellsworth will now play Minneapolis and Otis-Bison will take on Russell.

McPherson versus Great Bend Boys JV Basketball

McPherson traveled to Great Bend for a basketball matchup. The Boys Junior Varsity squads for both schools squared off in an early matchup for the day.

McPherson took control of the game in the First Quarter and did not let it slip away. The final score was 51 to 37.

Otis-Bison Boys vs Ellinwood

The Otis-Bison Cougars took on the Ellinwood Eagles in a road matchup in Ellinwood.

The First Half belonged to the Eagles. The Cougars ended up playing mostly Junior Varsity players in the Second Quarter. After Halftime, the starters took the floor and control of the game. The Cougars won with a final score of 50 to 38.

Otis-Bison Boys Junior Varsity versus Ellinwood

The Otis-Bison Cougars traveled to Ellinwood to take on the Eagles in a Junior Varsity game.

The Cougars lead through most of the game with a winning score of 43 to 19.

2011 Keady Basketball Classic: Hoisington Boys vs Larned

The final semifinal game of the 2011 Keady Basketball Classic pitted the Hoisington Cardinals against the hosting Larned Indians.

From the start it was a physical game dominated by Hoisington. The real story of the game was the number of fouls called. In the First Half alone, 36 fouls were called on both teams combined.

At the final whistle, Hoisington won with a score of 68 to 35.

2011 Keady Basketball Classic: Sacred Heart of Salina vs Macksville

The first Boys semifinal was a matchup between Class 1A Division I State Champions, the Macksville Mustangs, with Class 2A State Qualifiers, the Sacred Heart of Salina Knights.

Macksville quickly jumped out to a lead and never surrendered it. A 31 to 13 halftime lead turned into a 65 to 50 final score for the Mustangs.
