ESPN2 has done a very cruel thing, they are broadcasting the World Junior Hockey Championships. Why is this cruel? It is cruel because it reminds me of what I am missing: NHL hockey.
The season didn’t even start this year. For the past 100 plus days, the owners have lockedout the players as they hardly even talk about a new collective bargining agrement.
Any more I could care less if the owners get a salary cap, or in their parlance “cost certainty.” I could care less if the players get to have their large salaries.
All I want is to see boys lace up the skates, grab the twigs, and chase small round rubber disk around a rink. Until both sides come to a point where that is possible, I will not wear any NHL paraphernalia.
